Declined…

The first time in my life I've ever declined a job…feels good actually 'cos it makes you feel that ppl want you & think you're good enough but also feels kinda bad 'cos what have I passed up in this job offer?

Actually thinking about it, this is the 2nd time…the 1st was when I wanted a taste of becoming an outdoor salesman right after my A levels…which I think is the toughest job in the world…imagine yourself selling some obviously fake branded goods e.g. Gianni Valentino to ppl? I really admire these ppl who can convince somebody to buy something like this.

Anyway, I'm starting to ramble now but this reminds me of the time a few years back, while I was walking back home from college around 7pm when it's pretty dark: this Italian guy in a Fiat pulled up next to me, and asked me:

Italian guy: You speak English?
Me: Yes, why? You need directions?
Italian guy: No, I have 3 Valentino leather jackets in my backseat and I'm going home to Italy tonight (flashed me his passport) and I need to sell them off or I'll be taxed. I sell you cheap - 50 pounds for all of them.
Me: Sorry, not interested.
Italian guy: Ok [mutters something in Italian & drives off]

At first, I thought I've missed out on 3 expensive Valentino leather jackets but then, 2 weeks later, I got the same experience again, same speech, different guy, different car…lol, what a scam…luckily didn't buy. They must be selling some fake made-in-China Valentino jackets!
